I am an assistant professor at the Department of Communication Studies in the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Catalonia, Spain) where I teach undergraduate and postgraduate subjects related to communication, media and cultural studies. I am a member of Asterisc Research Group. I was graduated by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where I completed my Ph D. on television fiction and national identities (2005). Before being fully involved in academic life, I worked in the communication office of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and as a consultant for several projects related to higher education and communication, including IESE publishing. I also worked as journalist and project manager for several media companies like La Vanguardia Digital.
In 2015 I developed a project on ‘Consumer nationalism’ as visiting researcher at Loughborough University. I was guest researcher at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2007 (Scotland, UK) and I have visited the University of Antwerp or the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon to deliver MA or Ph D. seminars. I was cofounder editor of the Catalan Journal of Communication and Cultural Studies (2009-2014).
I am currently the coordinator of the Master in Strategic Communication at URV.
My research interests are related to media, political communication and social identities. I have developed several research projects, both as project leader and as regular member of research teams.
I like trail running, geography and nature.
